Bells Atlas - Sugar for the Queen
Info: 'Sugar for the Queen' is the final single release from Oakland band Bells Atlas' Hyperlust E.P. which is officially released today. Hyperlust has been one of the most diverse and rewarding E.P.'s I've covered in a while and every track of the four has been worthy as a single release. The above number has a nice genre-spanning mix on offer, from folky male British 70's vocals to the deliciously funky guitar intro, the song also jumps forward to more contemporary styles in particular with the drumming and percussion as the track moves forward. Light-hearted harmonies add tenderness to the machine-like movement of 'Sugar for the Queen' which overall provides a fitting finale to the journey of the E.P..
