We all like to get our rocks off to late Beatles and Stones, but at the same time, I personally like to get to the root of the root, and there's none more enjoyable than the earliest days of both bands, albums like With The Beatles and Aftermath are endlessly enjoyable, and so it is with the very rewarding take on the genre provided by Lucan band The Shades, long live rock n' roll! Those influences may be too simplistic when it comes to Dublin's finest rock n' rollers though who have since won Best Newcomers for 2015 at the Pure M Awards and recorded their first single at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London.
