Info: Winners of Irish Music Website Pure M's 'Best Newcomer' Award recently, Dublin rock n' roll and rhythm n' blues five-piece The Shades (Donagh Cadogan (Vox & Keys) Stef Byrne (Vox & Bass) David Bellew (Lead Guitar) Mikey Treacy (Rhythm Guitar) & Mark Lynch (Drums)) release their debut single, 'I Give Up' with a B-Side of Gene Vincent's 1956 hit, 'Be Bop A Lula'. To celebrate the band will be hosting a launch party at The Grand Social on the banks of the Liffey in Dublin's north inner city.
Steeped in authentic 50's and 60's rock n'roll sounds such as The Yardbirds, Beatles, Stones and The Sonics plus many more the act put on explosive live shows that will take you back in time to rock's early beginnings. In addition to playing the Body & Soul festival in June, 2014, the band have toured across Ireland & the U.K. receiving glowing responses to shows in cities such as Liverpool and Manchester.
