Finley Quaye's debut album, Maverick A Strike, was released in 1997, during the swansong of MTV's music video focus, selling over one million copies. I personally recall in my late teens his songs featuring regularly on MTV when I'd get home from school, around the time of 'Sunday Shining' and 'Even After All' (both below). I was delighted to have the opportunity to interview Finley, and he was an absolute gentlemen, who still, unsurprisingly, retains a deep love for music.
