Dioscó na mbó - We Can Run
Info: Sligo-based three-piece Dioscó na mbó, who have been making tunes of the electronic hue together since 2012, have recently released their latest track, 'We Can Run' (above). 'Too many people were watching, me when my little bike got a punctured wheel, then I fell over, then I grazed my knee' feels like the re-telling of an event by a small child, and the music we have on offer here matches the carefree abandon you'd imagine from childhood itself.
Reminiscent of the neo-psychedelic sounds of Welsh strangeness-merchants Super Furry Animals, or The Beta Band's quirky mix of electronica and multiple instruments, 'We Can Run' has a fully sunny disposition and an infectious rhythm that cloaks you in warm cotton wool straight from a 20 second cycle in the microwave. It's warm, fluffy and magical psychedelic pop with the perfect amount of weirdness to make you smile whilst simultaneously looking over your shoulder.
