The New Social - Get Out Of My Head
Info: Consisting of members from Mayo, Leitrim and Dublin, indie rock five-piece The New Social released their debut single, 'Get Out of My Head' yesterday. The track was recorded at JAM studios and is released on the Live Loud Music label, with an official launch night taking place in The Workman's Club on the 10th of May.
With an intro that would recall the funk pop sound of The Doobie Brothers, the track unfolds into a catchy and upbeat contemporary indie rock number, with call to action choruses delivered via some nice melodic harmonies. The song also has a late 90's strand of Britpop running through its DNA, which is carved around punch verses and hooks, a debut that is certain to garner sufficient radio play to set The New Social up nicely before the next release.
