Wicklow power-punk four-piece The Felonies have released a brand new video for their latest single 'Hollywood', the follow-up to the raucous wonder that was 'Berlin Blues'.
A bone-grinding opening swiftly yet briefly moves into reflective mode, thematically its central character gradually awakens to the shallow and unfulfilling pursuit of perceived fame and craved adoration. In a sense, in our modern reality we all reside in our own mini-Hollywood, some of us are just more subtle about how we reach out for it. Similar to their balls to the wall live approach, The Felonies fire up all instruments as they clatter against each other at full throttle, rumbling bass-lines, mildly off-kilter percussion and a rapid-fire guitar riff charge up across the verses whilst briefly holding back during the earnest chorus. Yet again a catchy AF sharp-shooter from one of our very favourite emerging Irish acts.
