Info: Lance Bangs is the new moniker taken by Richmond, VA three-piece formerly known as "Collin Thibodeauxx". The new name came from lead singer Colin Thibodeau getting tired of using his own name and also realizing the band was no longer just a solo project but more of a collective effort with long time high school friends Joel Alicea, bassist, and Drew Lanzama, drummer. The band started out just as a fun side project to kill some time over the summer. But started to turn heads after playing several house shows.
Since then the band has gone from being a house show favorite to slowly becoming a new Strange Matter favorite alongside label mates and friends Camp Howard. Their live shows are quirky and energetic and have been compared to odd balls Vundabar and even sometimes Ariel Pink due to Collin's nasally-weird vocals. Their latest single "Lance bangs #1 single released on 4?/?20" is the first song the band has collectively written together. Maintaining the band's same up beat style with more of an aggressive fuzzed out twist. The band plans on releasing new album this summer date TBA.
