Tanukichan - Enough

Info: Regular visitors to the blog will have become familiar with Californian band Trails & Ways over the past two years, and also former guitarist Hannah van Loon, who now goes under the moniker of Tanukichan. Her debut single, 'Bitter Medicine' appeared here back in May, a delightful jangle-pop guitar song with heavy shades of 60's Woodstock.

Van Loon returns with a new single and video in 'Enough', which premiered over on Stereogum recently, and it's markedly different from that opening salvo, both are great, but different, which is always a welcome sign. Where 'Bitter Medicine' was hazy and nonchalant, 'Enough' is a fine example of contemporary shoegaze and rock placed in the same cooking pot. A straight up and assertive rhythmic drum beat contrasts effectively with Tanukichan's blissful vocals and cloudy guitar playing.

'Enough' is taken from Tanukichan's debut EP, Radiolove, produced by Toro Y Moi's Chaz Bundick, which you can download here
